I came up with this when I was spending a lot of time in LA.  The Savage was young and inexperienced, trying to figure out how to market her Self.    People laughed when I handed them the card; most still do.

Who Really Runs the World?

The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, like “Greed is Eternal”, “War is Good for Business” sound suspiciously like unfettered capitalism gone wild, where greedy banksters and unelected multi-national big players seem to have tentacles and suckers attached in high level places in government.

And, since Citizens United versus Federal Election Commission, this control just became more entrenched, giving corporations and unions the right to spend as much as they like buying elections in the USA.  No joke.

And remember: if money is free speech, your citizenship isn’t worth as much as GE, who in 2010 generated $10.3 billion in pretax income, but ended up owing nothing to Uncle Sam. In fact, it recorded a tax benefit of $1.1 billion, detailed in their 24,000 page tax return.

So what can we do about short sighted lizard brained aliens running the world?  Get creative  and collaborative!    Be your Savage Self!   Control your own Lizard Brain.  Expose the Red Team/Blue Team Circus for what it is.   That's why I'm running for President as a cartoon.  Vote SAVAGE 2012! Or better yet, Become President of your own Life!

The HOLE Truth

Little Savage had this conversation with planet earth way back in 1995. Earth here is looking like a mutant with a couple major HOLEs in the Ozone layer.  In 2011, signs of ozone hole recovery were spotted in the Antarctic - bouncing back after the phase out of chlorofluorocarbons aka CFC’s.  Remember CFCs?  CFCs were in refrigerators, propellants and solvents.  They were banned because once they get into the atmosphere they rip a hole in the Ozone layer and continued to do so because CFC’s are not used up in the chemical reaction.  Without the protective ozone layer,  we'd be crispy critters -- sunburned in under 5 minutes with increasingly exponential rates of skin cancers.  Just ask the Australians about their skin cancer epidemic....    This story has a happy ending.   It is possible to reverse damage by making needed changes.  Those who argued against regulation and banning were mostly corporations who felt their bottom lines would hurt.  Ouch, I really feel for their tuches.    Hey, let’s not worry about future generations.  They have no rights.  They haven’t even been born yet.   Why should we care if future generations have a healthy ecosystem, food, and an environment with breathable air and drinkable water?  We won't be around.  After all, it’s not like we’re terrorists planting a bomb in the heart of NYC, setting it to explode in the year 2065, is it?  Just give us the HOLE TRUTH!  (Let's talk truth -- not vested interests -- about global dimming and geo-engineering....)

Little Savage Emerging Emergencies

Why does everything emerge at once?

The Little Savage ™ does not appear to be thinking about “emergence” in the sense that complex systems and patterns emerge through a web of interactions, or a process of self organization. Perhaps she is still caught in the reactionary principal - inaction until confronted with the impending emergency.   And she has her panic button handy, just in case the emergence gets a bit too overwhelming. 
Snowflakes are emergent. 
Water turning to steam as it heats up is emergent
Whirlpools in a stream are emergent.

Are emergencies forcing us to emerge into a new way of being?   Everything is speeded up.  Time is not linear.  It's a spiral, it's a roller coaster ride, and we got our tickets for it when we were born.    

A poet on the street recently said to me as he passed me by:  “Welcome to this moment!”
 
Could it be we’re transforming? Caterpillars are transformers.  Maybe we are just cocooned, waiting for the moment.  Maybe we aren’t.  But it sure feels like when there’s an emergence or emergency, where is our roadmap or instruction manual?  It transforms, evolves, emerges moment by moment..   And we don’t have time for the bullshit anymore.   Have fun emerging!
